Albania Mountain Race

“This event has put blisters on my feet and a smile on my face”

Ross Robins – 100km finisher

Race Information Pack

Ultra 4 Veterans Albania is an event that takes place in the mountains of southern Albania. It offers three race distances to choose from. A 100km distance over two days, 50km or 25km over one day. With relaxed cut offs at check points meaning all distances are achievable for runners and walkers.

The Ceraunian Mountains are a coastal mountain range in southwestern Albania, within the Vlorë County. The mountain range is divided by dry streams and deep abysses, with sparsely covered vegetation, dominated by pine and conifers trees. As you descend the last mountain, you will finish at the Ionian coast looking across the narrow see at Corfu island.

Whichever distance you choose, you will be treated with stunning views every step of the way.

Taking part in early September, the climate conditions for the race should be arid, with lows of 15°C in the evening and highs that could reach around 30°C during the day.

Route Details

100Km Route

For the 100km race, expect delightful scenery across the Ceraunian Mountains. Check points are roughly every 10km.

GPX available soon.

50Km Route

The 50km race will follow the same path as the 100km race on day two.
Starting at the 100km campsite, and winding back to the same finish line, with check points roughly every 10km.

GPX available soon.

25Km Route

The 25km race is the final 25km of the 100km and 50km course. Starting at its own point and winding back to the same finish line as the other distances, with check points roughly every 10km.

GPX available soon.

Cut Offs

Our aim is to get as many runners/walkers to the finish line, so our cut offs are very generous. On the 100km you’ll have over 16 minutes per KM, so on average you will have between 2-3hrs to complete each 10km section. On the 25km, you’ll have even longer.

If You Don’t Finish

In the scenario that you cannot finish a stage on the race, we will transfer you to the finish line for that day. If this is day one of the 100km and you don’t want to camp the night, we can transfer you back to the hotel, but you will need to sort your own accommodation out for that night. You will not receive a finishers medal or official result if you DNF/DNS.
